Beer
One of the reasons Gary wants to be at the New Inn is his love of good quality beer and in particular Timothy Taylor’s award winning ales. We are determined to keep and serve these beers exactly as they should be, so you get a perfect pint (or half!) every time.
We are recommended in the Good Beer Guide, cask marque approved and are a CAMRA pub – the local CAMRA group even use us as one of their meeting destinations!. Timothy Taylor’s themselves have complimented us on the quality of ale we serve. We are Casque Mark accredited – which involves a team of assessors testing the beer for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste and we passed on all counts!. The Cask Marque is awarded to licensee not the pub so Gary is doubly proud!
As well as the quality of the beer we serve, one of the other things which makes us special is the fact that we serve all 5 of Taylor’s available ales. These are: Best Bitter, Dark Mild, Golden Best, Ram Tam and Landlord. There are very few other pubs which offer you the chance to taste the full range in one place – though we don’t necessarily recommend that you do it in one session! We are hoping to develop a special club for those customers with the taste and stamina to try each of these 5 ales in all their different settings, please check with us for progress on this.
